lol; you guys are missing the point of the list.  I obviously like other artists that aren't on the list, but the list is about what the masses like, not just personal opinion.  if their was a top 10 "underground" rappers then you might be on to something, but this list has nothing to do with that.  This list is not a combination of all of the artists work in total, but of what they have done in the year of 2009, everything done before is irrelevant. 

[EDIT] - Also, lyrics aren't much of a factor in todays rap anymore; a song does not have to have complicated lyrics for me to enjoy it anymore.  This isen't the 80's where songs had no hook and would go on for longer than 9 minutes.

Thats completely untrue, in some cases thats right, but immortal techinque has had multiple offers from def-jam but he said hed rather be solo so he can control his music, same type of case for cunninlynguists and many others like them.

It is true--Immortal Technique hasn't signed because with the offers he's received, he doesn't get to keep his masters; the labels don't see him profitable enough to let him keep his masters.  See Drake on the other hand, is signed and has his masters.  But what do I know.  Oh and by the way:
